I have a early version of the WRT54GS - run stock firmware - no real issues. Maybe a reboot or 2 in the couple of years O have owned it.

I do not do any torrents or P2P on it at all, which is where a lot of the problems came from.

I will have to try that. I wonder if setting lower limits in P2P clients would help.
