Refillable inks (if that's what you're referring to) are generally not up to manufacturer specs, and often times can end up gumming the print heads or otherwise harming your printer. Also the cartridges you're refilling, 9 times out of 10, are not designed to be refilled, and will end up damaging them. |

| reply to 91537735 I've been refilling cartridges on a Canon MP160 for over 2 years -- the printer works as good as new and the cartridges are still good.
$15 lasts 1 year for black and color, 6 refills each.
$350 saved by not buying overpriced manufacturer ink -- it's also better for the environment (not that I care, but some do).
Only thing I had to do with the printer software was disable the ink cartridge meter and every time you refill, you must remove the excess ink from the cartridge, you'll get a guide so you shouldn't worry.
Shop around on ebay, some buyers use premium ink, some don't... I purchased a set once for $6, ink quality was mediocre, another set for $15 and I couldn't notice the difference between the manufactures ink. -- I love fish sticks. I love putting fish sticks in my mouth. |

MdocEhh... munch munch... what's up, Doc?Premium join:2007-03-27 Sterling, VA kudos:1 | Well... heck, I've still got an HP Laserjet IIP plus printer, works well, used a toner that's 2-3 years old that I'd bought then... no problems. Though there was a problem with one of them.
This year the printer started throwing up 3 different printing problems, and all had to be addressed by replacing the different parts in the printer.
But no toner problems. I use refill toners. |

 | reply to 91537735 Hi all,
now, I want to know that for how many times i can refill cartridges ?Is there any limit for refilling? |
|
 | I quit refilling mine after seeing all of my pictures start fading after 1+ years. The ink they supply in the refill kits is junk! |

MdocEhh... munch munch... what's up, Doc?Premium join:2007-03-27 Sterling, VA kudos:1 | OK, I realize I may be confused re: refilled versus remanufactured. If by remanufactured you mean used cartridges refilled at the plant, then that's what I use. That being the case, refilled must mean you refill it yourself. I've never done that.
I typically buy 3 or 4 at one time, use one and store the rest. |

That maybe true, but the wrt the fading issue Smoove910 mentioned, remanufactured cartridges may not have an ink that's any better than the refilling kit that was mentioned. Remanufactured cartridges compete with OEM ones purely on a cost basis and doesn't really markets them on their quality. |

Re: Refill or OEM cartridges? I recently bought from these guys: »www.ldproducts.com/Remanufacture···nter=182 I got 14 "remanufactured" cartridges (4X black and 2X colors) for $60 with free shipping. So far, they're working great and I can't see a difference between these and the original Epson replacements. It would have cost me ~$180 to get 14 OEM replacement cartridges. |

| Hi Howie,
I used to buy from LD, But when I opened three of the packs two were dry and one was only half full. They did rplace them, But the waiting time in between left me sitting here with projects to print...
Their Ink is good. I may be buying from them again as my Walgreens stopped carrying ink cartridges....
