My wifi usb adapter connected computer has problems connecting everyday for the first connection of the day after starting up my computer. The taskbar icon will show my ssid with an excellent range using the wpa2 security but I still can not connect. It used to loose connection every 10 minutes but recently that stopped after tweaking some settings. Also, sometimes when it looses connection it will show connected from the taskbar icon but it really isnt connected. I also have problems sometimes after surfing the web looking at many videos or websites at once. I have flushed my dns to see if this was the problem.
Here is my connection information:
Cable modem from Time Warner using RR service
Lynksys Router TM-G5240 connect to the Cable modem and main computer using a ethernet cable.
The problem computer is the second computer using a wifi adapter usb. WG111v2 Netgear
Only firewall used is Windows Firewall
Settings:
I currently have IPv6 unchecked and had it checked previously.
IPv4 - everything is on automatic
Radio type shown from my broadcasting ssid states: 802.11g
My adapter is g compatible
