bqtchef join:2005-10-17 Red Bluff, CA | [Help Me] Dlink modem 2540B to Linksys WRT54GL My wife asked me to purchased a wireless router so she can access the internet through her dsi. I really didn't want to go through with this because I knew I would have issues trying to configure both the modem and wireless router, but she is my wife and I wanted to keep the peace, basically shut her up
I installed the Linksys and went through the quick guide and failed (go figure) What changes do I need to make to either the Dlink Modem and/or Linksys WRT54GL?

 | DSL (not dsi), right?
Your DSL provider should give you and support a wireless router if you insist.
The Linksys quick start guide should clearly state what's needed.
Tell us how you've connected the DSL (D-Link?) modem to the LInksys.
And tell us what you've done.
It should be very simple. Have a friend/neighbor geek? |

1 edit | DSL (not dsi), right? I'm guessing that it is referring to the Nintendo DSi. I am not personally familiar with the DSi, but the main issue would probably be whether it can use WPA security, or only WEP.
Hmm, that Wikipedia page does seem to imply that it supports WPA2. -- AT&T Uverse; Zyxel NBG334W router (behind the 2wire gateway); openSuSE 11.0; firefox 3.0.15 |
