 | Rogers Antivirus protection I had The rogers antivirus on for the last two years. When they were with norten it was O.k. no glitches. After they switched to radial point it was downhill for my computer since then. It never recognized any viruses or malware. My computer was at a standstill for the past 2 months. It felt like a computer before the pentium era. I decided to download Mcafee and erased the rogers protection. Mcafee recognized 12 trojans that rogers missed. I am so happy with Mcafee. My compuer is working at least 20 times faster than with rogers. |

»WARNING: Do not load the new Rogers Online Protection (ROP)
I have not yet tried the new Microsoft program, but AVG and Avast get a lot of good reviews. |

 | I use avast (free), adaware (free) and spybot (free).... catches everything. Not 1 problem.
On my other computer I tried the rogers program - piece of crap.
If you have the $$$ and want a good suite, try kasperov |

 | reply to BrianE I've been using MS Windows Defender for a couple of years without any problems. Of course it has never found anything, ever, in all the scans I've done. Which makes me wonder how good Security Essentials is? Will it perform as well as some of the bloated commercial stuff? I'm presently using AVIRA and it has been OK and the price is right. Is Security Essentials better? What thoughts ... |
