 | Help with framerate Issues with WoW So Lately I have been experiencing framerate issues when playing WoW. It will be smooth then it will drop down to like 10 fps for a few seconds. It doesnt seem to make a difference if I adjust the settings of the game to lower quality and in some cases the game will simply freeze for a moment while something happens in-game such as when I get on my mount. As soon as the model for the mount appears there is some definent fps drops.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit AMD64x2 4000+ 2.1 ghz CPU 4gig of Ram MSI Nvidia 9800 GT graphics card.
I have already rolledback and installed the latest graphics drivers, reinstalled Win7 and verified my memory was all good with a MemTest.
Any thoughts? |

I had exactly the same problem recently and I realized it was when AVG was scanning incoming email once every 15 minutes. This only happened after the latest AVG update, so I uninstaled it and went to Avast .... problem disappeared. -- I have never been out on my bike and thought, "Man I wish I was in a car." |
