[Tomato] Bridging WAN port with LAN port?

Hi,

I have a Cisco WRT54GL running Tomato 1.25.

I was wondering if it is possible to bridge the WAN port with a LAN port.
I like to have 2 WAN ports in a bridge an the 3 other LAN ports in the second bridge. Reason is that the digital TV settop box needs a public IP.

Anybody an idea if this is possible?

Thanks.

Do you have multiple public addresses available ? Two devices cannot have the same IP.

Are you sure the Settop box need a Public IP? 99.999% of stuff work with proper port forwarding.

What Settop box is it and what happens when it has a private IP.

Yes, I have multiple public IP addresses, no problems on that side.
Currently there is a switch in front of my router.

The settop box is one of Telenet, a Belgian TV provider. The box needs a public IP of them, otherwise they don't push updates.

So I really need to provide public access for my settop box.

The reason for my question is that I like to get rid of the switch.

Thanks.

The only firmware I have seen that allows easy manipulation of the port assignmens is DD-WRT, and then you still need some custom rules to configure it.

Thanks. I'll have a look at that one then.
