 | [Rant] what's wrong with the new generation ?? Was stunned today when my son told me this one , my son work in a mall and had to find another job (not needed anymore) so his manager found him another store in the mall but today her ex-girlfriend call's him and tell him his being unrespectfull to her and making her working condition really hard for her and he should call and let go his new job another thing too he was told it's that it's a common rule to not work at the same place of girlfriend and exgirlfriend.
The worst in that it's that we are talking about people of 25 + of age not kids. |

 | reply to dunno Well it seem all the other people of their age working at the mall think the same way as her of being it a " rule ". |

| reply to dunno In this economy there is no "rule" about anything. If she wants to be that dramatic about it, she can quit. No one is forcing her to work there.
As for this being a generation thing, nope, not at all. Ex's have never liked working together since the concept of employment has been around. -- "I like to refer to myself as an Adult Film Efficienato." - Stuart Bondek |

 | reply to dunno From what i understood the unrespectful part is that she worked there for many years and him just a few month ago. |

Re: [Rant] what's wrong with the new generation ?? Have never heard of this 'rule' before, and it's probably isolated to this specific person's rule more than it is a rule that many people follow. Not sure if I understand your story fully, but the ex-girlfriend sounds overemotional and should get over herself, and him. |

Re: [Rant] what's wrong with the new generation ?? 'unrespectful'?
Sounds like she's being more 'unrespectful' than he is. Want respect? Earn it. Don't just expect it, respect doesn't just appear, it has to be earned.
[rant]
Holy Jeebus, I'm so tired of hearing about people who complain that someone else is 'disrespecting' them. Don't be a child - grow up and get over it.

Horrible sentence structure grammar and punctuation is making effective written communication less and less common on the net.

vrt @dsl.bell.ca | reply to dunno I think the generation part was because most people that work there think the same way , it can't be blame as a generation thing but i know that most people 65+ that i talk to always say that same sentence about what's wrong with this new generation .
I don't see the point of bashing the OP since he was just ranting and sometime some people need it.
Dunno , my wife worked many years in a mall store and im not surprise at all she witnessed many stuff like your.I do think though that there's no point of doing this for a job. |
