Firefox Is Pissing Me Off

For the life of me I can't figure out why firefox will not fully load all the graphics/pictures on a page.

Example - If I go to lifehacker.com never do all the pictures load. If after the page loads and I hit reload, then it will load everything. This happens at a LOT of websites, but not all.

Anyone know WTF is going on?

It's probably related to an add-on you've installed for Firefox, or how you've set the add-on, or how you've set Security and Privacy settings in Firefox.

It's also possible you have your antivirus/security software set in a way that blocks some of the graphics.

Using Firefox, I went to the main page for lifehacker.com, and everything filled in--nothing seems blocked.

Sometimes the pictures are hosted elsewhere and may have some traffic problems or routing problems.
Same problems for dns servers may occur, I like to keep several dns server address' in my tcp/ip settings.

Since they load here as well, it may very well be your settings.

I tend to believe it is Firefox because if I use any other browser like IE, Chrome or Opera, the problem does not exist.

So if it is an add on, I wonder which one it could be? I've googled the subject and can't find any answers.

Load firefox in safe mode...basically, it loads with no addons/extensions
Or, disable all extensions and enable one, surf for awhile, next one, surf, etc....leave the extensions on as you turn other on, sometimes it is a combination of extensions. It may not be any extensions so as you can imagine, this will take some time. I like useing process guard and right click firefox.exe and click properties and see under thread tab which is useing all cpu or memory at the time of the problem.
I also like debug mode for firefox and I believe there is debugging tools for firefox too, do a google search for "Firefox Debugging Tools; How To"

It could be that images served from a third party are timing out before loading.

Or the NoScript extension, if you use that.
Try upgrading to the latest version. There's a note in the changelog about a fix having to do with 'page loading issues'.

Damned if I know wtf is going on.

Safe to say it is not Firefox then.

It has to be right? I mean I have NO issues with any other browsers. None.

Does anyone believe enabling the pipelining "tweak" will help in this case?

I have the same issue. Firefox will not load everything on a web site unless I stop it then hit reload. I don't have the issue with IE. It's frustrating to the point that I have almost stopped using Fx.
