Text messages not showing up under senders name

For some odd reason, all incoming text messages are now showing up as +12125551212 (or whatever the number is), instead of the senders name in my address book. I am using a Blackberry, and this just happened after a fresh wipe of the OS. Even stranger, if I send out a text message the reply still comes back with the phone number (plus the "+). Any ideas? Do I need to change a setting or something? Carrier is Tmobile.

Do you have area codes for the people in your phone book?

Yes, I literally copied my address book over from a previous Blackberry.

In your old phone book, they might not have been put in. Just because you copied it over doesn't mean that area codes were magically entered.

Have you tried power cycling? This happened to me a couple times with my BlackBerry Pearl, but it remedied itself.

The area codes are all there, I just double checked. I am using a new bold 9700 running OS 5.0.0.330.

I am trying a power cycle now to see if that helps.

After a reboot, and deleting all the existing text messages, it now seems to work. Strange but true!

Thats interesting, I didnt realize it was as big of an issue as it is. I was able to rectify the situation by (first) deleting all the text messages in my inbox. I had noticed that text messages sent/received after a certain time did display correctly. After that, I rebooted the device to see if it helped. The combination of these two things "seemed" to have fixed this issue, although I will keep testing it over the next few days.
