Is Westell C99-610014-00 ADSL2+ ready?

I have a Westell C99-610014-00 modem. What download speeds will this modem work with?

Is this modem standard DSL or ADSL2+?

Right now I'm signed up for 6Mbps service.

Thanks

The revision of this modem is the deciding factor on if it is ADSL2+ capable.

On the bottom of the modem you are looking for revision "E" or later.

I have REV D.

This makes me wonder now. I signed up for 10Mbps service ( during the summer ) and no mention of needing a new modem. The tech stopped by and checked the outside box and called in saying to drop the speed to 5Mbps. I think I have 6Mbps by checking my modem stats ( 6368 kBits down 896 kBits up ).

The DSL bill still says I have 10Mbps.

Thanks for your help tstolze

I think everything over 3 Mb is all billed the same now. They sell it as whatever your line will sustain up to 10. If you can post your transceiver stats, this will give the techs a clue if you are able to obtain a higher rate.

You can also look at this thread to see what the readings are and how they effect your connection: »Westell Modems - Accessing DSL Stats
