| Broken in 8 states. No resolution in sight?
My DSL has been out for 2 days now.
For the past 2 days, the PSN service line (888) 596-9230 x 2106 message has been saying
"We are currently modifying our network to improve network performance. This will affect all DSL customers in the following areas: Wash DC, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Houston TX, Denver CO, St Louis MO, Atlanta GA. For DSL customers, we do not have a time for resolution. We apologize for this inconvenience."
Dang!
Why didn't they send an email telling me they would be down for a few days!
Was this really a scheduled outage? How can they not know how long we will be down? |

(The datapoint is other NorthPoint users on a different ISP in Denver have OK connections right now.) |

Your diagnostics are a little different than mine.
I get zero packets received from the connections. |

| reply to chewyy Yeah I'm from Philly and my DSL went down sometime around 11:30am PSN is the best dollar (39.99) when its running 784kbs but this now makes an outage for me in Sep, Nov, and Dec consecutively!! Billing tried to tell me they don't prorate unless its down in access of 15 days...after I got through the 1/3 my bill for Sep and Nov. Luckily, I received my $250 rebate on the same call credited to my Visa. Tech support averages an hour wait regardless of when you call. Billing 45-90min is routine! I'm courting VERIO from north points ISP selections 49.99 per month up to 784kbs I'm not sure if its SDSL yet I'm waiting for the call! Nommo_ba@yahoo.com |

| PSN still down. Day 4.
Support number (888) 596-9230 still has message that PSN is down in 8 Metro areas. (See original post in this thread for a quote of the message.)
PSN still does not state any estimated time for resolution.
Unreal. I'm thinking of getting a satellite dish. |

Anon | reply to chewyy Yes we are down also in Yardville, NJ.
As was mentioned, it would have been nice to know that they were planning to do such work.
I have had it with them, sitting on hold for 3+ hours without ever being answered is a joke that I am not laughing about. |

| reply to chewyy Bottom portion is proof that level3 took out a route to psn and the destination address is not reachable, stopping at 209.244.2.59 (level3 router). Probably not pay the bills again...
