What is your total monthly recurring charge with Vonage?

I am considering the 500 minute plan. It looks like there are about $13.00 worth of taxes on this $17.00/month plan. I know the website says the total comes to about $25.00/monthly, but when you go through the steps to place the order, it looks like it's more like $31.00 per month for the 500 minute plan.

mine would go from 30 to 32 a month when IM on 24.99 plan so I called them up and ask why some months they charge me 30 and other months 32 and they just give me some stupid answers so I was like can you lower it or im switching to a different provider and after I said that I got unlimited calling for 18.00 a month.

$9.99 plan comes to $15.02. Thinking about switching to the $4.99 plan as I hardly use my home phone.

My 14.99 plan was around $21. I have moved to a $12.50 plan, but haven't gotten a bill yet.

The $31 might have included a one-time downgrade fee of $10.

Here's what I typically pay per month in Washington. (It always varies by a few cents.)

Basic 500 Plan: 17.99
Regulatory and Compliance Fee: 1.49
Emergency 911 Service Fee: 1.49
Federal Program Fee: 1.99
Local Utility Users Tax: 0.49

Total Amount: 23.45

When I signed up for Vonage in 2005 they offered a $19.99 Vonage Employee Premium Unlimited Plan through the company I worked for, still on that plan today. In '05 after taxes my bill was $22.09 today it's $24.81. Still much better than the $49.00 a month Qwest was gouging me for local only line, no long distance, and no calling features.

My $7.99 plan here in Canada was running my $9.03 with tax. Then I cancelled...wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it. Cancelling Vonage is difficult, they guilt trip you, etc. Though I am allowed to keep my hardware...nice.

Anyone do the 1 year $239.99 prepay? If so, what was your true cost?

I did... depends on your state, county and town taxes and surcharges... Worst case take the vonage calculator and assume 12x monthly... Take a bit of the toal since some of these taxes/surcharges will be based on the amount you pay (others - like our county 911 - are not).....

6months ago my bill was the 24.99 plan and after taxes and all it was 33 dollars. But how I got vonage to cut my bill down to 19 dollars a month was I called them up and told them that I was sick and tired of paying your jacked up prices and I told them that I was going to switch to different provider who have the same plan for cheaper and soon as I said that they switch me from 33 dollars a month to 19 dollars a month. Dont let Vonage jack you around with the price jump.

I know I have a business line in my home office, but geez:

Small Business Premium Unlimited Plan for my number: (23/Apr-22/May) $49.99
Regulatory, Compliance and Intellectual Property Fee $3.98
Emergency 911 and Information Services Fee $3.98
Federal Program Fee $6.09
