[OC] new card overclock

1.) Open ATI Control Panel

2.)Change the Welcome screen to ATI Overdrive in the top left

3.)Set GPU/Memory Clock as far as it can go (ATI Overdrive will not allow you to ooverclock your card past a certain specification, therefore a cap has been hardcoded so you can't damage it)

4.)Enable Manual Fan Control (Set it to a tolerable level 30-35%, runs way too hot on auto anyways)

is it possible to put a aftermarket cooler on it without voiding the warranty. this thing has a lifetime warrenty that I would like to keep.

That's kind of a grey area question. Some companies, such as EVGA actually encourage replacing the HSF with an after market one and don't void your warranty because of it.

Every company is different, I would call XFX or whoever you purchased the card from to confirm what the case is, every company has different rules and restrictions.

Looks like XFX has a similar warranty process as eVGA.

As long as you don't physically break the card while attempting an after-market upgrade or overclock, you will not void your warranty. Sweet deal.

I would call in regardless to double confirm.
