Finally!!The snow has gone to our south and dumped all over another region and left us nice and clear I remember when I lived in Missouri and it snowed 13" in one storm. During it, on the drive home from work, I noticed that people behind me soon fell in line with me driving a foot to the right on the snow instead of in the tracks that were icing over. I think my MA plates had something to do with that The entire area shut down after two inches. People were freaking and several asked me why I wasn't worried. I just said 'I'm from Boston, this is nothing'. |

My brother called and said 2 feet of snow in Fairfax Co. VA. and still coming down. A carload of kids stopped by and shoveled him out for $30. I've been there in 4" snows and people FREAK! I sometimes go to DC area around this time of year for his birthday party, I'm glad I didn't this year.
Best snow in south driving story I have is getting pulled over in Atlanta with 2" of snow. Speeding @ 55 mph on I-75. MA license, "Can't you drive a cah in a dustin'?". Statie (whatever they call them) said "Oh, a Yankee!", I replied "No, Red Sox, but I understand" and off I went, sans ticket. |

Yeah, it's been dubbed snowpocalypse and todays storm is snowpocalypse 2. Anyone from up east that want's to earn a lot money should bring their plows down and show these southerners how it's done. |

said by Sweet Witch:We're supposed to get snow tomorrow, but who knows how much! Man, I better get to the store and buy a snow blower before tomorrow! Wednesday: Snow likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Northeast wind between 6 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. |

You're definitely going to have trouble if you need to go out! We're only getting 6-8" so it should be no problem |

At the weather page on Boston.com, there is no obvious indication that we're getting hit with a major storm tomorrow unless you click through on the "extended forecast"... this is what the page says now: quote: Detailed Boston forecast
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 20s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
Presidents Day: Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of snow showers. Highs in the mid 30s.
What's happening between tonight and President's Day is apparently irrelevant. |

Now that I have a winter job, I have to worry about these storms now. I have a 4x4 Jeep, I can get around. It's the other idiots that scare me! Before, who cared! Ahhh the working class..... ..... |

No snow up here either. Well, a few flakes for about 20 minutes earlier but nothing for a few hours now. And all the schools freaked and closed for nothing! |

I dunno, I think the state of emergency is justified. I mean, it's kind of raining and the ground is all wet and stuff. That can't be safe! |

We MAY get up to 1 inch. But the last time the news said 2-4 inches, we eneded up with a 2 1/2 day storm dumping 18 inches. |

Maybe an inch of 'cement', not enough to stop me from grilling. I'll be eating a lot of French toast this week |
