[Newsgroups] Different NZB sites

Do any of you find that different sites such as NZBMatrix and MerlinsPortal have quite a difference selection of files or do they tend to be quite the same? I'm a payed member @ NZBMatrix and am wondering whether it's worth it to also donate to MerlinsPortal to get full access there as well.

You don't have to give money to anyone....whatever is on those two sites, can usually be found on binsearch and other non limiting, free nzb search sites....like binsearch and the gazillion others.

Agreed with ironwalker. And I think the only thing you get with Merlin's Portal for donating is a higher daily limit of nzb's that you can download. Im pretty sure all free members have access to all 500+ days of files they have there. But I have to wait until I get home to be sure about that.

It opens up the porn NZB if you give money too. I'd never give money to a NZB site no point to many free ones.

Which sites have safe-guards against RAR files that are password protected?

I gotta admit though...the nice thing about nzbmatrix is it has no porn option afaik and also I like the layout and how you can read user comment's about files and also direct info link about said files to imdb or gamespot. And it was on $10 so not really a big deal.

Now I haven't really looked around at other free sites but checking out binsearch it doesn't offer any of those perks which are nice to have. And if you don't know what you're searching for, having nzbmatrix lay out for you the newest upload's for today so you can browse is also helpful.

Often I catch stuff I wouldn't have thought of looking for that way.

Can I possibly get a list of all the free ones? I do a Google search for 'NZB search" or "newsgroup search" and don't get much.

Thats fine, once you found what you want on nzbmatrix, head to the binsearch tab in your browser and paste the info in from nzbmatrix...done and no 10nzb download limit.

Not much difference, the biggest difference is just the website interface itself. I personally love nzbmatrix and find the small donation a worthy fee to avoid the hassle the free nzb sites can make. I especially love the fast queue feature, one click features are awesome.

lol thats what I use to to do with newzbin! Well not with binsearch but you get the idea. Sense it doesn't hurt me or anyone else to say now, sense newzbin in a private site now, I will say.

All you had to do is be a free member of newzbin and easily be able to find every post out there no matter if you had the member benefits or not. All you needed was to make sure the post had a .nfo file. Take the file name of the nfo file look for it in the same newsgroup and you found what you needed. Quite simple. The only time it became confusing or difficult is when there was no nfo file. Sense this can't and will never work again there is no harm of me saying it now

Heres a whole list of 111 nzb websites out there. Most of them I never even heard of. Found this one day and thought I would share. Guessing out of all of them maybe 20 are worth checking out.
