RVS4000 New firmware

Though the date says last year... This just popped up on their site yesterday: 2/15/2010....
Note that the IPS Signature they refer to is the old one, from last October!!! Which is same version on their site now.... ???

Anyone try it yet? (It certainly doesn't mention any of the issues I told them about....) I have not seen any Firefox issues, though it appears it's an older Firefox version....

???

RVS4000 Firmware v1.3.1.0 Release Note 12/12/2009

Changes:

1. Fixed the issue that the Delete button in the Status>Local Network page does
not work.
2. Fixed a poor resolution issue with Web GUI's left navigation pane when using
Firefox v3.5.
3. IPS Signature was updated to version 1.41.

I've installed this just yesterday Jan.
So far I'm really liking it. It's pretty much identical to the previous release v1.3.0.5, but decided to update as it corrects a few minor GUI bugs and has the new IPS signature. I'll be monitoring the logs and stability of this release and will post back if I notice anything odd. I never got a chance to test out v1.3.0.5 as I just installed this last week... then I see v1.3.1.0! I'm glad to see that Cisco is at least continuing with development on this unit. However, they need to pick up the damn pace with their IPS signatures!!

Thanks for monitoring the logs as I'd be very interested if they have finally fixed them.

Well.... I have been monitoring the system logs and I have yet to see a "'KLIPS" or "IPSEC" shutting down message. I've been up for 8 days now.

Does it log inbound and outbound traffic (eg does it log a scan from GRC.com)?

Yes, and I have all logging options (plus system) enabled... including e-mails.

It does record a scan from GRC.com as inbound UDP. From there, there is no other incoming logs whatsoever.

I have tried set up a DMZ with a non existing lan ip, forward port but no still no incoming log.

Maybe it only shows blocked inbound traffic (is there a setting to show blocked/all traffic somewhere).
