I heard that one of the companies behind this
initiative is none other than TrustE. We all
know that TrustE's claim to protect peoples'
privacy is at best questionable; it is almost
a given that when you see their logo on a site
it means they are going to share personal data
with third parties like marketers and advertisers.
Because of this, I'm extremely sceptical whether any
real improvement in privacy or reduction in spam
will happen.
