koitsuPremium,MVM join:2002-07-16 Mountain View, CA kudos:13 | P182/183/193 owners -- drive trays Any P182/183/193 owners lingering? If so:
Can one of you provide an SKU or part number of the drive tray(s) that go in the upper 3.5" cage? It should be imprinted somewhere on the tray itself.
Antec, in all their glory, doesn't appear to list the SKU number of this part in their user manual or on their site. I'm trying to find replacement drive trays (mine are gone -- I likely lost them when I was disposing of a different model of Antec case) but have no P/N to go off of.
Months ago I opened a support ticket with Antec to find out if this part was available at their online store and the response I got was abysmal beyond belief.
Thanks. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. I speak for myself and not my employer/affiliates of my employer. |

Other then that perhaps they dont sell the individual trays and only sell the cage assembly with the trays (yeah I know that doesnt really sound right does it),

koitsuPremium,MVM join:2002-07-16 Mountain View, CA kudos:13 | Funny, that's the exact same thing Antec Support told me. "Did you look at our store? Everything is for sale there". And my response to them (which they never responded to): "Did you actually look at your own store to see if the part in question is sold? If so, what part is it?"
Antec's Store doesn't provide enough detail to figure out if the drive trays listed there work with the P182. Seriously -- dig through the site. The photos are too small, and the descriptions are too terse/vague.
It would help if I had something in my hand to compare to ("Oh, yeah, that's the same product!"), but I don't. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. I speak for myself and not my employer/affiliates of my employer. |

 | Just checked my P182 and there's no part number on the trays. No part number on the 3.5" cage either. The trays are exactly the same as those found on my Sonata 3 but the they look different than the ones found on the spare parts list (Sonata 2). No part number on the trays found on the Sonata 3. |

koitsuPremium,MVM join:2002-07-16 Mountain View, CA kudos:13 1 edit | reply to koitsu I've filed another support case with them, also referencing the fact that the trays are identical to that of the Sonata 3 trays -- something I didn't know, thanks Chrno !... which sadly aren't sold on their site either. We'll see. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. I speak for myself and not my employer/affiliates of my employer. |

1 edit | reply to koitsu I am sorry, I made a mistake. The P18x and the Sonata 1-3 tray looks similar but NOT exactly the same. See picture ( I didn't have the camera last night so I didn't dig the trays out for a direct compare =/ ):

Edit: Left P182 tray, right Sonata 3 tray. |

I might point them to this thread anyway, showing the difference and saying "so, WHERE THE HECK DO I GET WHAT'S ON THE LEFT?" -- Making life hard for others since 1977. koitsuPremium,MVM join:2002-07-16 Mountain View, CA kudos:13 | reply to koitsu Thought I'd follow up and finish off this thread:
My Support ticket this time resulted in more or less the same response as last time from the CSRs.
Well, it just so happened one afternoon I noticed Antec had presence on Facebook. I joined their group/fan thingus and posted on their wall, asking for someone there to check out my ticket. Sure enough someone did but wasn't able to provide me with much help.
Fast forward to today. Out of no where I received a phone call from a senior CSM at Antec stating that my ticket had been escalated to him, and as a result of the frustrations/complexities they'd be sending me 2 trays free of charge. I was ecstatic and thanked him repetitively before asking: "so why aren't these for purchase on your store?"
As it turns out, Antec's in the process of revamping their entire online store, which includes adding lots more inventory. Because of that, they're not making any changes to their site inventory unless it's a major part of some kind (e.g. a brand new case they just released, etc.) and even that is somewhat complex right now (red tape of some kind). Now to get them my address... -- Making life hard for others since 1977. I speak for myself and not my employer/affiliates of my employer. |

Although your resolution isnt necessarily typical and a lot of people with the same or similar problem would probably still be banging their heads against Antec tech support,
