Spray painted outside case.

I have an elite 310 case by coolermaster, pictured here

Anyway I tried to install some noise dampening stuff on the inside and the glue or whatever they use on the bottem just made a mess out of the window, and since coolermaster has the worst support ever ( i have tried for 3 weeks to purchase a replacement window or entire side), i decided to spray paint the outside window flat black so it would look all black. Now it looks great, better then i hoped even i think making it all black it now has a cleaner sleeker look. However since the window is transparent the inside window shows black. Another person on ncix forum said im in trouble because black attracts heat.

Well this got me thinking if it does make a big difference should i just spray paint the inside of the window white then? WIll this help?

Have not noticed a rise in temp at all so far anyway. But he was pretty adamant since the window is black now on the outside but its also transparent it will attract heat now.

I dont know much about pc's so i just thought i would ask here. Before i do any more spray painting.

Black does not attract heat.

What black does do is absorb the whole color spectrum from sunlight.

Place a black object and a white object outside in the sun, wait an hour, and you will find that the black object is very hot, but the white object is only warm. This is because the black object absorbed all of the color spectrum, but the white object only absorbed the white part, or a fraction.

This is why in the winter dark color cars with melt the snow off faster in the sun than light color cars.

I wouldn't bother repainting the case. Besides, are the other parts of your case black on the inside?
