RyanPremium join:2001-03-03 Attleboro, MA | BC2 What are you running on? Well kind if disappointed with the performance I am getting with BC2. Using an 8800 GTS (g92) and had to put everything on medium turn off bloom and force it to directx 9 for smooth gameplay. Guess its time to get a new card Anyone have a 5770 or a 5850? Hows your performance and what settings you running on? |
|
 | Doh, my G92 GTS has been a champ since the day I got it handling anything I threw at it.
Is this a driver thing or a genuine performance issue? With so many PC games being 360 console ports, there hasn't been much development in graphics in a long time.
RIP. |

IDK thats what I am trying to figure out. Also trying to see if it would be worth upgrading to a 5770. I really dont want to spend the money for a 5850, but maybe soon it will drop in price. |

I'm in school right now but I have everything set to high, 2xAA, 16xAF, hbao is off. Can't wait to hop on multiplayer for the weekend.
Fraps shows me getting 45-60fps. During firefights in the single player so far it dips down to about 40fps. I might just bump up 4xAA and call it there but I like the performance so far.

RyanPremium join:2001-03-03 Attleboro, MA 1 edit | reply to Ryan SO WEIRD. I got pissed off deleted my config file since I was just getting rancid performance. It recommended medium settings and this time the only thing i changed was forced it to DX9 and the lowest fps i got was 43 Looks great too!! I dont understand how setting the graphics higher gave me better framerates, but whatever... Now here is the question. A 5770 is 150 ~ dollars. You think I could run this game on high @1680X1050 with that baby? Or even a 5830? |

Im with you vathral though this game made me want to do upgrades for better or worse
I should have just got this game on the ps3 just so I wouldnt be tempted!
IDK what it is, but when I gotta play a game on medium its just this nagging feeling when I play saying "this could look sooo much better" I am sure I will crack and spend more money that I dont need to be spending... |
