6 years ago, when BellSouth refused to service my neighborhood in Palm Beach, Covad provided the only "broadband" (I say that laughing) option - a 128Kb, like dual-ISDN frame-relay for about $110/mo. I was thankful for it at the time.

Me too. Covad prices were way too high for their dsl service. Back in the day sbc was $20 dollars less than Covad
