[MA] Bostonians! Advice from North station to Fenway

The title says it all. Will be taking the Amtrak into North Station next week. I should arrive by 5:15 or so for a game at 7:10. Whats the best and most efficient way to get from North Station to Fenway?

Also, I will need to do it in reverse to get back to North Station by 11:15 PM to take the train out of town, should I do anything differently than above to get back? The Yankees and Red Sox seem to like playing very long games so I hope I dont have to leave early, but if need be I am hoping the train/subway station is close by to the stadium. Thanks!

EDIT- I should say it is not an issue to drive but I figured it would be less stress to utilize the train/subway.

Get on the Green Line at North Station. Get off at Kenmore Square. That'll put you next door to Fenway. Just don't get on an E car (Heath St / Huntington Ave). After the game go back to the Kenmore station with lots of other Yankee haters and get on a trolley going to Lechemere.

Actually, a lot of trains don't go to Lechmere, so you should look for trains to either North Station or Lechmere on the way home. Trains which stop at Government Center will leave you slightly short of your destination, but you might want to jump on anyway to escape the Fenway mobs after the game And then just wait for another train which takes you the rest of the way when you get to Gov't center.

On the way there, the B, C, or D trains will take you to Kenmore.

It's pretty straightforward...

Hey now! Is there a Yankee Lovers train that i can use instead?

So any green line car in North Station (except E) will get me TO Fenway?

Coming back I may be very pressed for time if the game runs late as I have to catch the Amtrak back to town at North Station at like 11:20...Trolley is the best bet or will any green lien train get me to North Station again?

Any OUTBOUND train except E. There are also inbound trains to Lechmere which you don't want. (They would of course be on different tracks.)

If you're in a big rush, I'd say take the first inbound green line train you can get on the way home. If it happens to be a Govt Center train, you will have to get off and wait for the next train to North Station. But this will be either the same amount of time or faster than just waiting for the North Station train at Fenway.
