trying to use line quality test tool
I am trying to use this tool but it says i am not pingable. I cant seem to figure out why not. i have a hp laptop using windows 7. wireless connected to comcast internet using a wnr2000 router. any other information and i will provide it. thank you!
Have you allowed pings in the router? Are you using any firewall, either the windows one or any other?
I do not know about pings in the router, i also don't know how to do that. But I am using Windows firewall. I am 90% sure I am not using any other firewalls. The weird thing is when i had very slow Verizon i could do this test no problem. Now I have comcast with the exact same setup and it wont let me.
Somewhere on the WAN setup page should be a "respond to ping on internet port" option, you need to have that enabled.
If that's already enabled we'll try something else.
