Re: MoDem & Bell Portal BitRates both concur to be false! Well, i talked over the phone to an employee of Velcom about this:
...and we agreed there was no point opening a ticket since i experience
no disconnections and Bell would just reduce my profile if anything... At
the moment, my RCO gravitates around 96 % and the SNR Margin stays
close to 3.3 dB so that leaves no room for marginal events like lightning
storms which are sure to occur this summer. I've informed Velcom that i
consider Bell's last move is calling for cancellation of all their services so
this includes the 3rd-party DSL part provided by Velcom, unfortunately.
I've talked to guys at Bell too, same outcome: i need to switch to cable,
smoke signalling, whatever!... At least Bell won't get money from me for
such a mediocre service anymore - which comforts me somewhat.
