 | Routers and switches for CCNP I just got my Cisco CCNA and used Router Sims. I want to go onto CCNP. This time around I want to use real routers and switchs.
For Cisco's new requirements can I use 2600 searies routers and 2900 switches. Whats the most inexpensive way to purchase these devices.

One option is to use GNS3 for all the routing and get a pair of 3550s off ebay, and a 2950 to fill out a triangle for the switching. Not sure whats on the tshoot lol. |

check out my sticky. Its pretty conclusive. For the switch portion, you can do 99% of it with most 2900 switches, obviously read into the 6500 as they mention stuff relating to SSO on that exam. |
