Does SC2 require a monthly subscription?

Does SC2 require a monthly subscription?
Before I plop down $60, I would like to know if there is a required monthly subscription fee like for my WoW account.
But I cannot seem to find an answer anywhere.

Who can give me the correct answer?

Suck it. When I get off shift and get back to my room I'll have to ask my wife if my SC2 key arrived. Am mentally prepared to let it download over the next 24 hours...

Sweet.
Now, do I go for the digital download or run to the store and buy the box. Any good stuff in the box that I just can't live without?

No real goodies other than a themed notepad in the regular edition ($60) but go buy it anyway, you'll save time. You are downloading roughly 12 gigs the digital way and the install from disc doesn't take long at all. Trust me. I bought it and have played 6 missions on Hard difficulty, my buddy who got it the same day, is still downloading.

You also get some guest passes in the box that you can give to any friends who might be on the fence about buying SC2. They are good for 7 hours of play.

I didn't get that in the Collector's Edition, which has a WoW in game pet, 2GB heavy USB drive, making of DVD, art book, sound track, the game, and the fore mentioned guest passes for SC2 and Wow.

Why would Sim City 2000 need a monthly subscription?

14 Tracks on the Soundtrack CD

1. Wings of Liberty
2. Public Enemy
3. Heaven's Devils
4. The Deal
5. Escape from Mar Sara
6. Zeratul's Warning
7. The Prophecy
8. Firstborn
9. I, Mengsk
10. Better Tomorrow
11. Card to Play
12. The Hive
13. Fire and Fury
14. The Showdown

Don't see it for sale on the Blizzard Store or iTunes, but I'm sure it is available somewhere on the web.
