PST Key?

Click for full size
i noticed "PST" "values", in my "registry", associated with activex-killbits like those that are added to the registry by "spywareblaster"..

does anyone know what the "PST" "values" are for?

i hadn't noticed the "PST" "values", in my registry, until recently.. i don't know how they got there..

Only guessing, PST, something to do with Outlook/Outlook Express.

There are some keys:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{00020422-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{00020423-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{00020425-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

with Data types of PSTypeInfo, PSTypeLib, PSTypeComp which again kind of seems to relate back to O/OE.

You may treat it as a vaccine. Flag 0x400 prevents your computer from running ActiveX component with this particular {CLSID}. It doesn't matter if it's on your computer at this time or it will be there in a future.

If you want to know what it is - make a search for the {CLSID}, rather then for Pst.
