On behalf of so many that keep asking the same questions about the information that you have compiled all in one thread, and on behalf of myself who has all too many "marked" threads with portions of it, I thank you for taking the time to put it all together like this. I have bookmarked it as well as putting it in my "marked" threads here on DSLR, and one of these days, I will go back to the "marked" threads and get rid of many that are now unnecessary thanks to you.

Put it in my favorites and renamed it "DSLR Security Master Links." Better job than most homepages these days!

Good job Occasu. Threads like this are always good to have. Hopefully people will be adding to those links so we can have another good and comprehensive Link central for our Archives.

Thank you much Occasu, for I had just lost all my favorites due to a new install and no backup...

This will surely get me on my way back!

And, as WCB it will a nice add to Link Central.

Great post!!!

discogail- I can't get your link to work, even with editing it back.

What can I add?
VirusScan Integrator
"With VirusScan Integrator you can scan the same files with several antiviral programs. This is handy if are using more than one anti-virus product, maybe one more specialized in trojans and another as a second opinion. Using this tool, you can manage all your existing virus scanners from one interface. The auto search feature helps you to configure Virus Scan Integrator to work with the most popular antiviral packages. Please note, that you should not have more than one anti-virus prpgram running in "real-time" mode. This program is intended to do manual scans with the other products as needed - they do not (should not) have to be running all at the time to avoid conflicts among them.
"
From »www.webattack.com/Freeware/secur ··· us.shtml
Haven't used it, no longer have 2 AV (long story...)

Sorry if I missed it but I didn't see NOD32
»www.nod32.com/ free trial (also a stand alone module for DOS -for those who still use it).

If it is the links you are after..in his post hold your left mouse button down...hightlight the whole text, then right click to copy. Now open up your WORDPAD not your NOTEPAD...right click in that window and copy..

Other ways to do it also where no email is necessary.

You can,
A) Use the mark/unmark link on top of the page to mark it for future reference.

B) Add to your favorites.

C) while viewing the page in IE, go to file --> Send --> Page by email. Your email client pops up and you can email a complete HTML format of this thread to yourself. It's even easier with Netscape. Right click on the page and choose send page.

Or, in IE, you can simply do a File > Save As to save the whole page to a folder of your choice.
