| 5 digit code required for outbound Inum calls on voxalot? I made a few test calls to inum numbers using my voxalot account and every time a recording comes on that says:
"welcome to inum. in order to proceed a 5 digit code will now be given to you. when asked please enter the 5 digit code received using your telephone keypad. your code is (voice with echo and background crowd noise) please enter the code now."
I made several calls to get the wording right (i don't type very fast). I am unable to enter the code since I use inband dtmf and inum isn't recognizing the tones. I tried making an inum call using my gizmo5 account and I didn't get this recording.
Is this happening to anyone else here? I have my localphone did forwarded via inum to voxalot for incoming calls and haven't had any issues with calls yet but i'm concerned this could become an issue. -- THERE IS AS YET INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER. |

I could understand your comment if the matter had been discussed in THIS forum, but don't pounce on OmagicQ for not happening to see that it had been discussed in a DIFFERENT forum on a totally different website.
By YOUR philosophy, this forum will become much less useful, because you are saying that if something has been brought up elsewhere, it cannot be brought up here. I don't think that the DSLR owners will like that view.
By contrast, I would like to THANK OmagicQ for bringing this interesting Voxalot matter to the attention of the readers here. |

PX Eliezer, you are welcome. -- THERE IS AS YET INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER. |

From iNum: When a caller places a SIP call via the ENUM service for the first time, they will have to go through a voice Turing test. This is to help prevent SPIT (Spam over Internet Telephony). An intentionally obscured voice will read out a five digit code in English - which callers will have to enter into their keypad to make the call. This test will repeat itself every 100 calls to prevent misuse of the iNum services.
To avoid having your own iNum customers need to perform this test on their iNum calls, please ensure that your calls to the iNum range are routed directly and not via this new ENUM service beta. -- Martin - VoIP.ms |
