Re: [Hockey] Official~ NHL thread...........scores and highlites

If the Flames could get big league goaltending for the full 60 minutes they could be a problem for a lot of teams as the kids seems to have some zoom. Calgary fans are certainly enjoying the thrill and if they can keep this bunch together for a couple years we could have a contender in Calgary. Now if the guys up the road could get their brown stuff in a pile, the Battle of Alberta on ice could be worthy again. Looking forward to the CFL starting up and the Stamps and Esks going at it.

Al Arbour is for the fight of his life...

Al Arbour
One of my most favorite Blues players of all time is now in for the battle of his life… His spirit of play on the ice with the expansion Blues as well as Glen Hall. Red Berenson and Barclay Plager is the main reason why in 1968 I became a fan of the St Louis Blues and remain so to this day...

By the time these teams wear themselves out competing for a play off spot they will have nothing left for the Cup run.

My thoughts exactly! They may well burn themselves out in the playoff race with
nothing left in the tank for the Cup run.

But I do love to see these close races where making the playoffs changes by the hour.

Blues loose 4-2 at home to the Blue Jackets as Columbus wins 8 straight games on the road. The Note started without Oshie in the lineup and Steen left the game in the 1st with a lower body injury....

Bruins are staying alive as they beat the Rangers 4-2. Already got a phone from a friend, a Facebook message from another and regular e-mail from a third. There's a lot of Bruins fans in HRM...

Devan Dubnyk has been incredible and picking up Chris Stewart gives them some toughness, size and skill...Still upset the Blues dealt him last year...

And the Kings are slowly edging up in the standings. Now in 8th with a game in hand on the Jets. Kings play the Wild tonight. Should be a wild game...

Flames lose 4-2 to the Wild last night.

Kevin Shattenkirk returns to the Blues tonight in St Lou when the Note hosts the Blue Jackets... Should help on the powerplay and in the shootout...

There's always something amusing about a game where the shots on goal and score don't really line up.

Blues win in OT in Pittsburgh. Former Penguins Marcel Goc and Robert Bortuzzo score against their former team. "Steen, Steen the Soring Machine" nets the OT winner... A very exciting game with solid goaltending from Marc Andre Fleury and Jake "the Snake" Allen...

"Go Blues GO!!! Long Live the Note..."
