They will claim addiction and the terrible effects of pornography on their psyche. Before it is said and done congress will be talking about making porn illegal again. This is just a bad plan all around.
And what is YOUR solution then? Are they supposed to let obvious copyright infringer go and do what they want? This helps how. Putting bank robbers in jail doens't stop people form trying to rob banks but it helps more than just letting bank robbers go witthout punishment and asking nicely for them to stop doing it.

Putting bank robbers in jail does not back fire on the banks and lead to laws outlawing banks. These stunt lawsuits will lead to clergy, politicians, and media types talking about the evils of pornography. This will not accomplish their goals. As far as how to stop illegal sharing, who knows what will stop it, but I can assure you, it wont be this.
