SB6120 upstream connection problems

SB612X-1.0.3.0-SCM03-NOSH
Upstream: 37000000 Hz [3] QPSK [3] 64QAM

I'm seeing a consistent connection related behavior I think may be a modem firmware issue.

My upstream power changes throughout the day between ~44-49... Usually higher during the day as it warms up and lower at night.

In the mornings I am running into a problem where the upstream signal winks out.. I can always see broadcast traffic from the cable but nothing I send seems to make it out. Pings work off and on over the course of a few minutes.

When this happens if I just reach over and reboot the modem all intermittent problems go away for the rest of the day and the upstream power level following the reboot is always higher than the power level at the time the problems were experienced.

Upstream power:
Yesterday morning /w problems 44 .. after reboot 49.
Today morning /w problems 46 .. after reboot 49.

The same situation played out for the past three days in a row and countless times throughout the summer.

I'm not expecting my cable modem to deal with impossible line issues but from the reaction to a reboot there seems to be room for improvement.
