I've had a 160GB ipod for a couple years now, it's been VERY reliable. I even use it in the gym and it takes lots of shock. I think they only make them upto 120GB now, but that's all plenty for the largest of music collections.

No they dropped the 120 gig and now just supply the 160gig version. The 1.8 inch Hitachi HD the Classic uses are very tough. Incidentally those of you with older iPod's can upgrade them to a 240 gig HD there are several online places that will do this for you. This is just one such outfit:

It actually is not to hard too do it yourself and the company above even supplies the tools need to do it with the HHD.
