[cable] Can Motorola SB5101 work in EuroDocsis cable network?

Can Motorola SB5101 work in euroDocsis network without modification? I know the difference between Docsis and EuroDocsis is in downstream bandwidth: 6Mhz per channel in US cable network and 8Mhz per channel in a European cable network. Is there any difference in modem hardware, i.e. different chips used in SB5101 and SB5101E euro version?

I will check for you but I am almost certain a SB5101 will not work in a Euro network. However, some of the later modems can work in Worldwide mode.

I won't swear to this, but it believe in 1999 or in that timeframe the FCC introduced DOCSIS to be a worldwide protocol for all cable networks.
