[Need Info] replacing dish provider with internet service

I'm confused. I was told by a friend that with my wireless broadband, I could replace my dish provider for local and selected TV channels. Is this currently possible or not?

Are you referring to cellular as your wireless broadband or do you have a traditional Wireless Internet service Provider (WISP)?

If you are in one of the areas served by the fastest mobile/cellular broadband you might be able to watch delayed versions of popular TV shows and movies, but it will be very costly.

If you are able to install an Over The Air antenna for ATSC broadcasts, then you may be able to get local TV channels. Go to TVFool at »www.tvfool.com and Antennaweb at »www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx to see about picking up local OTA broadcast TV. There is a ATSC OTA DVR available at »www.channelmaster.com/Digital_TV···/120.htm
