self install Dish Network tria and receiver

I have my Dish 500 on the porch and was thinkin of buying a tria and receiver for basic 200 service , no HD, but maybe recording..
I dont want to bother having an installer come out.
Can I buy this stuff and how do I activate once I get it set up...
I will need the pointing screen to get it right....
Can I buy my own recorder that works with a system???
how much for this stuff...??? any installers out there..??
I have pointed my own stuff before and am easy with tech stuff...
any info appreciated..

Neither DISH or DTV has sold equipment for years now its all lease.

So anything you find online, is likely out dated (may not be supported anymore) stolen, or has an account attached to it with balance owed.

I would be very careful on buying anything. Definitely get the receiver serial number and check with DISH for if its clear of debt and still supported before you buy.
