1. Belkin Routers (Cause 1 way voice with VOIP systems - Just about every model)
2. DLink DIR-655 (may work via DMZ/DNS/SIP ALG/DNS Relay, otherwise no SIP access or Loss of Dial tone)
3. Embarq 660 (Modem): Works in bridge mode
4. Linksys WRT54GX4
5. Netgear WNR Series (WNR1000 may work by upgrading FW /WNR2000v1 works by rolling back firmware to 1.1.3.9)
*WNR1000v2-VC (Provided by Comcast. Firmware cannot be altered and has registration issues with the DUO)
6. Dlink DIR-615 (works by upgrading to latest Firmware + putting TK6000 IP on DMZ)
7. Motorola 2 in 1 Modem/router (Motorola 3347. This is a Netopia modem).
8. Ambit Cable Modem Gateway (Modem/Router)
9. Frys Routers
10. D-Link Gamerlounge DGL-4500 ***May work fine, HOWEVER it may cause loss of dial tone issue over Cable networks.
11. Netgear WPN824N (Tends to work ONLY with firmware v 1.0.0.14NA)
12. Verizon GT704-WG-B (Causes DUO to drop after 2 rings)

Yes, I know NetTalk has a published list of known good/bad routers. I read through it before starting this thread. That's the entire point of the discussion: my router isn't on either list.

If you want NetTalk, buy NetTalk.

What's the WORST that could happen?

If need be, your router should be flashable with DD-WRT, Tomato, or OpenWRT.

I believe the list is compiled from users experience regardless of technical savy (or lack there of). I would not accept as a definitive answer no matter which side of the fence your router fell.

Still waiting for my Net talk DUO but I am glad to see that that my good old' trusty Linksys WRT 54G is compatible..does anyone know if you have to unblock any ports or DMZ it to work properly?
