Your System - March/April 2011

Post your system specs if you've built/bought a new system during the month of March/April.

If you've changed your system, put "ADDED" next to the new component(s).

If you haven't changed anything - don't post!

Bought a new Acer TimelineX 1830T after having giving up on HP and their little crappy Mini 210.

Specs:

Core i3 380UM @ 1.33 GHz
Intel HM55 Express Chipset
4GB PC3-8500
11.6" LED backlit LCD @ 1366x768
HDMI
Bluetooth 3.0
1.3 MPixel Webcam
Atheros 802.11n
Atheros 10/100/1000 NIC
Realtek HD Audio
WDC 500GB 5400 RPM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Smaller than the Asus eeePC 1215 and twice the workhorse as far as I am concerned.

Re: Your System - March/April 2011

Can't afford an entirely new build so I just did an upgrade of my system with more memory (had 2-GB), new HDD (had Barracuda 7200.8 1.5Gb/s and Barracuda 7200.10 3.0Gb/s), and Win7 64-bit (had XP Pro). Tried to go to 6-GB memory but my motherboard didn't like having 4 slots populated. System is definitely much faster and more responsive overall. This should hold me over until I can afford a new mobo/CPU/RAM.
