 andyrossPremium,MVM join:2003-05-04 Schaumburg, IL 1 edit | Re: How do you copy/paste a screenshot from the modem signal pag How I did it (probably over-complicated!!): On the screen, hit ALT-PrintScreen (saves just the active window to the clipboard instead of the whole screen) Go to Paint (start/all programs/Accessories) and hit ALT-V (or Edit/Paste) to paste Click the Select tool (upper-right of the tools box on the left), then box the upstream section. Go to Edit/Copy To... and save the file somewhere. Start your post and put in some text, click Preview/Attach. On the preview screen, select the Browse button and go to your file, then click upload. |

| Snipping Tool doesn't have the capabilities of SnagIt or some other apps, but it would easily do for the function in question here. It is easy to use, IMO. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends . |

 | reply to andyross Umm Yeah... I hate to tell you that you dont use alt at all!!!
First your hit the printscreen button on keyboard on the page you want to copy.
Second open paint and press cntrl v or hit the past button
Third crop it
Forth save it.
Thats it

The "Alt" function still has a purpose. If you press "PrintScr", you will take a snapshot of the entire screen. Now, lets say you have multiple windows up on your screen. If you press "Alt/PrintScr", you will only take a snapshot of the active window.  |
