Re: OT - Punk ish Music From the Past

Lol!

Someone brought up one we missed; The Clash. Rudy Can't Fail is my favorite single of theirs. That brings up the Specials. 2nd generation ska at its finest. I also was reminded of the Coup, one of my favorite hip hop groups; which then reminds me of the Pharcyde, and Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and De La Soul. Don't forget Common and KRS-One.

Enjoy some of The Coup.

If we're bringing in classic old school hip hop, Rakim must also be submitted for consideration.

I'm going to have to have everyone in this thread move near me so I can have some friends in real life instead of friendly acquaintances that don't really share any hobbies or tastes.

Yep.

You could be pal with The_Rul, if you could get past the insanity and everything.

OK - Here's a few of my memorable favorites.

Descendents - Hope

Note Milo is wearing an old school text only Bad Religion shirt.

NOFX - Stickin In My Eye

Always loved the live albums just to be entertained by Mike's banter. Alas, I've never been able to see them live.

The Slackers - Sara

Sorry no moving pictures.....

Bad Religion - We're Only Gonna Die

Everyone likes that song, though....

Green Day - Going to Pasalacqua

Dead Milkmen - Dean's Dream

That's enough for now. Those are the ones that stick out the most in my memory.
