Re: Windstream Line Monitor Group is in business

Likely because the longer period can't show the same horizontal 'definition'. Your 300-400 single reading peak averages with the surrounding on the longer time period.

You can see the same thing happening on mine:

Why doesn't the six week graph latency scale the same as the 4 day graph?

This four day graph shows latency peaks from 300ms-400ms which is what I'm experiencing nightly.

»ny-monitor.dslreports.co ··· e=345600

However, if you look at the six week graph it only shows a maximum of 250ms peaks:

»ny-monitor.dslreports.co ··· =3628800

Thanks,

Pretty much. You want to put your current IP in the 'static' box, check dynamic, then put the hostname in:

I don't use a third party DNS server so I'm not sure. Do these help at all:

»Line Monitoring FAQ »Can I supply a domain name for monitoring instead of an IP address?

»Line Monitoring FAQ »The Dynamic DNS Client .NET Edition is out. Where can I find information on it?

»Line Monitoring FAQ »Where do I review other dynamic DNS clients?

»Line Monitoring FAQ »How do I configure Dynamic DNS 4.0?

I already use DynDNS. I can just put my hostname in there for the monitor IP?
