Re: Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5

Interesting, the installers self-delete after being run. That's new behavior FAIK. It also automatically takes you to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/aih/?exitcode=0 after the installer finishes.

Other than that, updates for Opera and IE9 both went just fine.

They do seem signed, just missing the email addy for some reason.

BTW, here is my simple method for getting the updates.

1. Go to the update link, download for your currently detected browser.
2. Go back, then click "Do you have a different operating system or browser?"
3. pick your OS and other browser, then d/l it.
4. Close all browsers, Run the Installer(s). Done.

Thanks Nick! :)

The installers I ran which were downloaded from FileHippo sure didn't 'self-delete', nor was I taken anywhere after they ran.
They're also named differently than yours, for whatever that's worth.

But chalk up yet another 'advantage: non-Adobe download site', as far as I'm concerned.

virtual machine
They self delete? I still have mine on both the host and virtual machine.

For IE, where I installed Flash Player on both the host and guest, I DO have a digital signature on the Host. I do NOT for the same file on the guest.

Why is my time stamp from Aug 4 and yours from Aug 5? Shouldn't they be the same? Is yours for Opera...maybe that accounts for the difference?

Well, I'm assuming you got yours from a different place than I did.

Mine are the ones downloaded from »get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ which have different names and use some kind of new installer. Probably Adobe AIR stuff, but I don't know.

I do have Adobe AIR installed on here. IDK if that makes any difference either.
