I share a broadband internet connection with my housemate via Wi-Fi and initially set it up to use WPA2 authentication. I then bought a Kindle 3, which can't handle WPA2, so I had to change the authentication to WPA (TKIP). I changed the password and SSID at the same time. This was all done while my housemate was away for a couple of weeks. He had taken his computer with him.
He came back today and his computer automatically connected
to our wireless network without him knowing that the authentication method, password and SSID had all been changed while he was away! I am completely dumbfounded. How could this possibly happen?
Can someone please shed some light on this bizarre situation for me?
