Question about adding a line to a plan..

Hello, I purchased new service on AT&T on October 14th and the customer representative told me only one iPhone 4s per customer because of all the pre-orders that happened. Problem is that I wanted a family plan with 2 phones but at the time I couldn't. If I add a line now and make it a family plan, do I have to pay full price for another iPhone 4s for that second line to make it a family plan. I couldn't buy two phones because of the limit on October 14th. Thanks in advance for any info.

Two individual lines on two different lines of credit, and you could merge the accounts into a family plan later with a change of responsibility.

I don't know about AT&T but with Verizon that is not necessary. You can buy the new phone and just add it to your account. You still get the deal and each line has a 2 yr contract from it's own start date.

In other words phone #1 will be eligible for an upgrade on Oct 14th but the second phone would not be eligible until it reaches its 2 yr anniversary.
