I wanted to try and find out what I prefer through figuring out what is missing from the solutions I presently use.
The closest thing I've found so far is worktracer.
I need something like worktracer, with the following additions.
a) Can automatically remind me on a specific date that a repair ticket needs looking at.
For example, I order a part for a machine that needs a rare special order part. I expect it to arrive in five days. It's been six days - I want the software to pop up with something like "ticket 0000506 has a reminder for you" where the reminder is that I am expecting that part to come in today. This way, if the part does not come in today, I know to follow up with the courier, vendor, etc. Right now I manually set calendar reminders, but I do not want to do this anymore. I want to be able to set the status in the ticket to "waiting for part to arrive" , put in a date, and have the software remind me on that date that the part is set to arrive.
b) Can sync with accounting software, preferably quickbooks. -- Macbook Screen Repair

It doesn't look like they have syncing with quickbooks down yet.
Worktracer is working, and they are actually willing to work at implementing A, but B is still an issue. If we have a dozen jobs a day, a tiny issue, but once we're at 100+ a day, typing people's names & prices in is going to be a pain in the ass.
Is there anything out there with quickbooks integration worthwhile? I'm checking this out next. »www.commitcrm.com/ -- Macbook Screen Repair
