[HD] coaxial cable to stb

I am planning on upgrading my lcd tv (about 5 years old) to a more upscale hd one.
I'm doing a "self-install" fios tv (I have had fios internet and phone for close to a year). From an old Time Warner cable installation, there is existing RG59 cable, which I'[m using as a conduit for the wiring to stb. This gives acceptable tv viewing. But when I upgrade my tv, will the RG59 cable give me good hd? Should I be using RG6 instead?

Depends on the length of the run and the number of legs.
RG6 couldn't hurt, but if the run is short, cable is in good condition and you only have a couple of legs, then it should be fine.

If I were in your shoes, get the Rg6 no question
