 | [Internet] UBEE Modem Provides Inconsistent Wireless! Can anyone help me to resolve this? I have recently acquired RR Lightning 40/5 and although most of the time a speedtest shows correctly I cannot get consistent quality service wired or wireless. I have a business VOIP phone hardwired to the UBEE and during the day my phone calls are choppy! My wife had a video call yesterday and could not stay connected for 35 minutes.
I have a Linksys WRT610 and I am thinking that bridging the UBEE and using that might be a better option if I cannot figure this out soon. We are freelance IT and ourwork is starting to suffer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Now we have two ways we can do this. I can go ahead and schedule a tech to come out and check for issues I can't see OR if you respond back in the next 10 min or so I can go ahead and get your modem bridged right now and you can use the 610 which is a gigabit router and should work just fine...
I'm sidestepping some of the troubleshooting because I know your VOIP isnt wireless so it appears you are having problems on both sides. |

 | I guess I would like to bridge this UBEE and see if the problems resolve at this point we have pretty distinct bandwidth interruptions and I would like to see if the router is the difference. I can get 40/5 with a direct wired connection and it drops to 5/2 within 40 feet. I have not had a decent connection with VOIP since this was installed. |

|
 | How should I connect to the UBEE to make this work? |

 BHNtechXpertBHN StaffPremium,VIP join:2006-02-16 Saint Petersburg, FL kudos:82 | reply to mvp1959 Simple...
Connect from port 1 of Ubee to WAN IN port on router.... |

BHNtechXpertBHN StaffPremium,VIP join:2006-02-16 Saint Petersburg, FL kudos:82 | reply to mvp1959 It's not in error and I am still showing your computer connected to the modem. Please disconnect all devices EXCEPT the router, plug your pc into the router and then reboot the modem by simply power cycling it. |

|
 | The cables are all tight and my pc is plugged into the router. I jusy cycled the modem |

BHNtechXpertBHN StaffPremium,VIP join:2006-02-16 Saint Petersburg, FL kudos:82 | reply to mvp1959 Okay let me try this again....
From port 1 of the ubee connect a cable to the WAN IN port of the router. This is the port all by itself and not in the group of 4 parts side by side. Then connect your comuter to any of the 4 ports on the back of the router...it will take a few seconds and all should be fine. |
|
 | This is how I have it right now WAN on router the router says "internet" and my pc is plugged into lan port 1 on the router |

BHNtechXpertBHN StaffPremium,VIP join:2006-02-16 Saint Petersburg, FL kudos:82 | reply to mvp1959 Alright... something isn't working right... at this point lets get you back up and running. There is a hard reset button on the back of the Ubee. Push and hold that button for no less than 30 seconds. Release....remove the router, plug your computer back into the Ubee...at this point you will have internet again. Tomorrow contact our local office and ask for the PDS group and they will step you through it again. I will followup with you tomorrow evening as I will be out of the office until then. This is normally a very quick and easy procedure...sorry I couldn't make it happen for you tonight. -- ~All truth goes through three phases. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed.
