 | I just don't trust Rogers re: World of Tanks Knowing the fiasco regarding WoW , the CRTC taking Rogers to task for throttling all kinds of services , I don't have much faith in them.
Tried "World of Tanks" and couldn't get a DL speed >1 Kbps (getting about 700 bytes/s), yet if I go and do a speed test on testmy.net I'm able to get >150 Kbps.
Anyone else tried this and had success? Is Rogers screwing around with this too? |

They are messing with everything, they have till noon on the 2nd to tell the cRTC how they are going to fix the problem. -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake....... |

| reply to BugsyLafromb World of Tanks uses torrents by default as far as I know in the launcher for updates, which if Rogers is screwing around with it can mes up the game. One way to check is double check your settings in the launcher (the little wrench up near the top right) and if it is set to allow, uncheck it. You will still get the updates when they come, just won't be by torrent. -- MS MVP Windows Expert-Consumer 2010-2011 |

| reply to BugsyLafromb The server is located in Charlotte, NC at the following IP: 174.34.231.143 Some folks have had issues in the past connecting due to bad routers from different providers. Luckily I live next door in SC so I've almost never have had a problem. Might wan to try a traceroute and check that their isn't a bad router between you and their servers.
As someone else has mentioned also ensure to turn off torrents in the login screen too. |

 | reply to BugsyLafromb I am a WoT gamer and haven't had any problem downloading updates or playing the game. Though I did turn torrents off as someone has already suggested. |
