 | [AB] Shaw internet issues For the past 5 hours I keep loosing internet. It is upstream from my router as I have 2 IPs, when I'm connected with the one everything is fine (68.146.6.x) however through the other IP I'm get major packet loss and at time I can't even do name resolution ( 70.72.78.x).
I've called Shaw and the techs on the phone just don't get it, they keep insisting it is my home network and they want me to power cycle/disconnect everything. I even sent them traceroutes showing where it breaks upstream from the one IP.
Is there anyone else having issues? From what I can tell it is breaking down somewhere in Vancouver as most of the traffic from the 70.72 network peers via Vancouver off of the Shaw network. |

 | I get zero loss pinging 70.72.76.1 (should be the gateway for 70.72.78.x) From Calgary.
Does your same router do both IP addresses?
If you restart your modem and try and pull a 3rd IP, hopefully on 70.72.76.x do you get the same issues? - Might have to change your MAC address a couple times to do this. -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

 | What IP were you pinging from? Pinging from one Shaw IP to another was not a problem, the problem occurred when you went further into the shaw network and out to it's peers on the West Coast.
I did not try to pull a new IP on the second router, as by that time I was off to bed.
All seems better today so far, my lastest speeds

 | I have a server in Virgina and Dallas I was using, as well as my Shaw connections in Calgary and one I manage in Winnipeg.
Nothing on the west coast anymore. -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |
